Case Study

Steph McGovern

Trusted broadcaster to bestselling debut author

Challenge

We started working with Steph at the beginning of 2025 for the publication of her first novel Deadline.  We crafted a campaign that introduced her as an exciting new voice in fiction, while staying true to the qualities that have made her one of the UK’s most trusted broadcasters being sharp insight, Northern wit, and an eye for exposing the truth.

How

Culturally relevant, personality-led campaign that retained Steph’s trademark warmth while presenting her as a serious new voice in fiction.

The rollout began with a major cover interview in The Times Magazine, offering an honest, high-impact narrative on Steph’s career shift. This was followed by key national media moments, including a Hello! digital cover, a full spread in the i Weekend and Guardian, and a widespread media push via PA Media.

On air, Steph joined BBC Radio 2’s Book Club with Sara Cox, BBC Radio 4 PM, Virgin Radio with Ryan Tubridy, Crouch Therapy Podcast and took part in a string of BBC regional radio interviews, amplifying her reach across the UK and strengthening her connection with existing audiences.
